What is FirTech Far Infrared nanotechnology
Far Infrared (FIR) is a type of electromagnetic wavelength found naturally in the atmosphere which is invisible to the eye and felt as heat penetrating deep into the body. FIR has wavelengths ranging from 15 micrometers (μm) to 1 millimeter (mm). This is a revolutionary way to warm your body from the inside out with Far Infrared (FIR) technology. Unlike traditional heating methods, FIR waves penetrate deep into your body, reaching depths of 5 to 10 centimetres. This advanced technology allows your body to absorb the beneficial waves, causing your molecules to vibrate and generate soothing effects.

What is an Orthosis? An orthosis is a medical device designed to support, align, prevent, or correct deformities or to improve the function of movable parts of the body.

Are FirTech far Infrared products safe
Yes, FirTech far Infrared nanotechnology products are safe to use, they are European CE certified which means they conform with all relevant safety, health and environmental protection standards. Having sold more than 3 million products to satisfied customers throughout Europe.

What will the Far Infrared feel like
You will experience a gradual warming sensation in the targeted area, which may feel like internal heating. Typically, the skin won’t feel as warm as the targeted area itself. Some users report a tingling sensation before the area heats up. For optimal results, ensure the device has direct and full skin contact with the ceramic nanotech ceramic section of your product. If direct contact isn’t achieved or warmth not felt, adjust your product using the velcro tabs.

Can FirTech Products be washed
Yes, our products can be washed without affecting the performance of your FirTech nanotech item. Please follow these precautions:
- Hand wash in water below 40°C using mild soap.
- Dry the product in a shaded area. Do not dry in direct sun or use a dryer.
- DO NOT IRON under any circumstances.
By following these instructions, you will enjoy your FirTech product for longer.
Can I use while pregnant
We have no known complications reported during pregnancy. We recommend seeking the opinion of a doctor prior to using FirTech's products while pregnant.

Can children use FirTech products
We have no known complications reported by the use of our products in children, we do not recommend children under 12 years using our products.
Is sizing important for my product
Proper sizing and direct skin contact with the FIR active device is crucial for optimal performance. If the product you choose has specific sizing, please measure the relevant body part and select the appropriate size.
I have neck issues, what product is best
Our orthopaedic neck support will generally be best for neck issues. We have had great feedback around a range of neck problems including sore and stiff neck, relief from tension headache and persistant issues following medical intervention.
As there are many specific causes of neck issues, solutions offered by FirTech may differ, occasionally the bandana or upper back support may be more suitable for your condition. If you are unsure, please contact us at info@firtech.com.au.
Back issues, what device is best for me
We offer a variety of back support devices, including lower back waist supports with stiffening panels, and upper back, as well as spine supports for upper back and neck issues.
Our specially designed tights and singlets can also provide effective relief for back issues.
To ensure the best results, make sure the area of discomfort is covered by the active ceramic nanotechnology.

Elbow issue what device should I use
We offer two devices for elbow and forearm problems: the orthopedic elbow support and the forearm sleeve.
The orthopedic elbow support provides targeted relief, covering 10cm on each side of the elbow joint for focused treatment.
The Forearm Sleeve, on the other hand, covers both the elbow joint and the forearm, making it ideal for more widespread problems, including conditions like tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow.
If you are under the treatment of a medical practitioner, we always advise you seek advice if our device is suitable for your condition. If untreated and symptoms persist or worsen see your doctor.
Knee problems what is right for me
For knee issues, we offer three solutions based on the specific location of your discomfort.
We primarily recommend the orthopedic knee support, available in both one size fits all and sized options for specific fitment cases.
Our innovative Calf and Thigh Skins are designed for warm-up and recovery after strenuous activity. Far infrared skins are made for professional athletes, they are also effective for upper and lower knee issues.
The Calf Skin can be positioned to focus on the front or back of the knee and is an excellent solution for shin splints and calf issues.

Carpal tunnel and other wrist complications
Our wrist supports, available in a pack of two, are ideal for alleviating wrist complications. For issues originating from the hand or thumb area, our orthopedic hand support offers superior relief. Additionally, our forearm skin provides effective relief for both strain injuries affecting the wrist and forearm.
Ankle and foot problems
We offer a variety of products to address different needs:
- Ankle Brace: Designed specifically for ankle joint issues, providing stability and support.
- FIR innersoles: Ideal for soles of the feet, muscles in the foot and ankle problems, these innersoles contain our patented FIR nanotechnology providing maximum blood flow to the extremities. This product is great for those who stand on their feet for prolonged periods.

My shoulder has issues, which brace is best
There are two types of FirTech Shoulder Braces:
- One Size Fits All Brace: Provides relief for shoulder joint. The active Far infrared nanotechnology covers the chest, shoulder, and back area, making it perfect for relief and support that stops at the outer edge of the shoulder.
- Shoulder Brace with Sleeve: Recommended for more extensive issues like rotator cuff injuries. This brace extends the active area over the top of the shoulder and down the arm to the bicep and triceps, providing comprehensive support. It’s crucial to select the correct size for this brace to ensure optimal effectiveness.
Are FirTech's compression socks suitable for air travel
Certainly, an excellent product which not only gives the benefit of being a high-quality compression sock but have the advantage of our patented FIR technology woven into the fibres to ensure blood flow and comfort.
My device doesn't fit what do I do

How long should I use my FirTech device for each session
Our customers typically experience the best results when using the device for at least 1 to 2 hours. Some of our customers use the device for much longer than 2 hours at a time, this is fine and we put it down to the individuals tolerance or requirements. To maximise the benefits of your FirTech device, we recommend gradually increasing your level of activity during use. This approach allows your body to adapt and enhances the device's effectiveness.
If the device is worn during strenuous activities the heating and warmth effect is accelerated due to sweat and the enhanced effects when the skin is wet or damp.
I don't feel heating or tingling sensation while wearing the device
This is likely a fitment issue. If the device’s active far Infrared nanotechnology isn’t in contact with your skin, you won’t experience full FIR benefits. Tighten the straps and try again. You should feel a sensation within 20-40 minutes, indicating that the FAR Infrared is activating micro vessels, increasing blood flow, and enhancing flexibility and cellular metabolism.”
What happens if my skin is wet when using
If your skin is wet the nanotechnology can have a greatly increased effectiveness on the area in question particularly closer to the outer skin layers. It will not burn you but the feeling can involve an intense heat sensation. We recommend you use the device on skin which is dry and free from cream or oils.
I feel a continuing heating sensation after I have removed the device
You may feel intense heat and your skin could become red but this is just the action of the far infrared increasing blood flow, the feeling of heat will usually go away in an hour.
I felt a reactivation of the FIR heating feeling when I went for a swim or when I was in a sauna
Yes this is perfectly normal, and we have had a number of customers report a warm feeling, as if they had the device on again after a shower, swimming or having a sauna.
Far infrared devices work by emitting infrared radiation, which penetrates the skin and promotes various therapeutic effects, such as improved blood circulation and relief. After exposure to Far infrared, the body can retain some of the heat and the effects of the infrared radiation for a period of time.
When you swim or use a sauna, the heat and moisture can enhance blood flow and circulation, potentially prolonging the sensation of the device’s effects. This is why some people feel as if they are still experiencing the benefits of the Far infrared device even after they have stopped using it.
Can I sleep in my FirTech device
Customers have reported the device waking them up from sleep with heat felt at the joint or bodily region targeted. Due to this we advise to use with knowledge that the FirTech orthopedic device may wake you with a feeling of heat.
What are the benefits to my skin from using FirTech Far Infrared devices
FirTech Far Infrared greatly enhances blood circulation, which can lead to better oxygenation and nutrient delivery to skin cells, promoting healthier skin. Regular use of FIR can improve collagen production, skin texture, tone, and overall complexion.
What is the difference between FirTech's orthopedic and cosmetic range
Let’s begin by noting that Far Infrared nanotechnology is utilized in both orthopedic and cosmetic applications. The levels of Far Infrared produced differ between these two ranges, each targeting specific levels necessary for their individual purposes.
Although the orthopedic range may have cosmetic effects and the cosmetic range may offer orthopedic benefits, we recommend purchasing the appropriate item for your specific needs
Does Far Infrared assist with production of collagen

Can Far Infrared therapy reduce cellulite
Yes studies have shown that the deep heat generated by FIR can penetrate the skin, detoxifying and help break down fat cells. This process can reduce the fat deposits that contribute to the dimpled appearance caused by cellulite.
One notable study evaluated the use of active wear pants made from FIR-emitting fabric on women with cellulite. The participants wore these pants for six hours a day, five times a week, for one month. The study found a reduction in edema (swelling and fluid in cells) and a significant decrease in surface temperature, leading to an improvement in skin texture and the depth of cellulite depressions
Another study highlighted the benefits of FIR therapy in improving blood circulation and collagen production, which can help reduce the appearance of cellulite through improving the skins elasticity.

FIR therapy can help in detoxifying the cells and skin by promoting blood circulation and sweat production, which removes impurities from the skin.
What products are in the cosmetic range

Can I return my product
We comply with all consumer laws. We offer a 30-day return policy; we will replace your product.
Yes, we will replace your item if the sizing is incorrect or if the product is faulty upon delivery. We require the unused item to be returned to us, and a new item will be shipped to you.

We aim to dispatch within 24 hours of order Monday to Saturday, public holidays excluded.
What courier do FirTech use
We use Australia Post for deliveries. Dependent on the size of the order or location we may use our in-house staff to make deliveries.
Is shipping free
Yes, when offered on our home page, it applies to all items within Australia and New Zealand.
Do FirTech sell to retailers
